James (Jamie) Almas is a graduate of the University of Windsor Law School, and was called to the Bar by the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1992.

Jamie articled with Heelis, Williams & Little and was welcomed back to join the firm. Jamie has a solid reputation in the area of Family Law. He brings to the problem that rare commodity known as "common sense". This has always served as a great benefit to the client in time, costs and results.

Jamie has been active in the community as a former member of the Board of Directors of The St. Catharines Folk Arts Festival, the St.Catharines Library Board, the St.Catharines Museum Board and, in the political arena, as a former member of the St. Catharines City Council representing Merritton Ward 1997 -2003 and Regional Council 2003 - 2006.
