William (Bill) Heelis, a graduate of Western University Law School, was called to the Bar by the Law Society of Upper Canada, in 1974. First practicing with the firm of Chown Cairns, along with Ron Williams, he founded the firm in 1976

Bill heads the Family and Matrimonial Law Practice of the Firm, while also practising in the areas of Estates and Trusts, Civil Litigation, Commercial Law and Real Estate. Bill excels in the courtroom and has earned a reputation of being thorough and tough but fair, always recognizing the "big picture" and the ultimate responsibility he owes to his clients.

Bill has always been very active in the community serving as past Chair of the St. Catharines United Way Campaign, Niagara College Board of Governors and the Niagara Branch of the Canadian Automobile Association.
